Chapter 137: Not One Should Be Spared

Chapter 137: Not One Should Be Spared

Qin Youxuan collapsed on the ground, quickly losing consciousness.

“Boom”

The door was suddenly kicked open from the outside.

Thick smoke billowed in.

A group of men dressed in black somehow had surrounded the movable container.

The third man, who was just screaming for revenge, was now pinned to the ground, his eyes wide as he gazed at the man who arrived like a god.

“Mr. Jie, it’s too dangerous. We should wait for the rescue team…” Yao could not finish his sentence, for Dan Hanjie had already darted in, swift as a leopard.

Left in shock, Yao clenched his teeth and quickly ordered the arriving people to extinguish the fire.

“Qin Youxuan!”

Dan Hanjie searched the room for a while before he found the unconscious Qin Youxuan amid the thick smoke, lit by the fire’s glow.

“Kitty, wake up!”

After checking her breathing, he let out a breath of relief when he felt her soft exhales.

He untied the ropes binding her hands and feet, scooped her up and ran out.

“Boom”

The container had been burning for a long time. Pieces of the ceiling were falling off and whirling down in a storm of sparks.

Despite the darkness, Dan Hanjie managed to stay alert while holding Qin Youxuan. In no time, he reached the door.

Just as he was about to exit, an iron plate fell from the door frame.

Without time to dodge, Dan Hanjie instinctively protected Qin Youxuan, allowing the plate to smash against his back.

“Hmm…”

With a barely audible grunt, he rushed outside, still holding her.

“Everyone needs to move back! The container could explode!” Dan Hanjie barely finished speaking when the splitting and crackling noises started behind him.

Protecting Qin Youxuan with his own body, he threw himself down to the ground.

“Boom”

The sealed container exploded into a shower of debris under the towering fire.

“Cough”

Yao spat out the dust from his mouth and got up.

Seeing Dan Hanjie still lying on the ground, his eyes focused and he rushed over.

“Mr. Jie!”

“I’m fine.” Only after the fire died down, did Dan Hanjie stand up, holding Qin Youxuan. All this while, he kept her safely wrapped in his arms.

“Cough, cough…” Qin Youxuan coughed lightly, showing signs of regaining consciousness.

“Dan Hanjie… I must be dreaming…” Qin Youxuan barely managed to open her catlike eyes to catch a glimpse of the man in front of her before she passed out again.

“I wish I were dreaming, having to take care of such a troublesome cat,” Dan Hanjie sarcastically commented.

“If I was a minute late, I might only make it for barbecued cat…” His slender, fair fingers lightly brushed her face. Anger flared in his eyes when they landed on the palm print on Qin Youxuan’s pretty face.

“Mr. Jie, the police have been alerted. The patrol car should be here soon.” Yao couldn’t help but remind everyone after ensuring they were safe.

“You stay back and handle this. I want a detailed report on this incident, no stone unturned!” Dan Hanjie’s bewitching eyes narrowed, he kept the young lady tightly in his arms, his eyes sweeping across the bombing scene.

His gaze fell on the third man who was now subdued, his eyes hardened.

“Also, I don’t want her involved in whatever happened to the corpse in the container!”

Yao paused for a second before quickly nodding, “Understood. I know what to do!”

Only then did Dan Hanjie collect his gaze, holding Qin Youxuan, he said, “Let’s go home.”
