Chapter 390 387- War At The Southern Border (5)

As Yang Su was looking around, it was their time to enter the large ship. He was about to stop looking around, but he suddenly felt someone\'s gaze on him.

Yang Su turned to see who it was, and it was Ming Shiming who was with an entourage of the Ming Clan. Despite Yang Su hiding his appearance, Shiming seemed like he knew it was him.

Yang Su didn\'t know why Shiming was glaring at him with such hostility, he only frowned a bit and looked away.

Needless to say, Shiming had not forgotten how he was publicly humiliated by Yang Su years ago during the Freshmen Disciple Competition. This wound hadn\'t healed for Shiming and was instead festering all this while.

Seeing Yang Su just look away after realizing his gaze, Shiming\'s eyes narrowed, but he didn\'t show any more than that to Yang Su ignoring him.

After a few minutes, Yang Su and the others finally reached the steps to board the ship. As they did they had to present their pass, which for them was their Chosen identity tokens. For Li Wen, it was different as he wasn\'t a Chosen.

Each of them was given rooms on one of the many floors of the ship.

Seeing that they had gotten scattered rooms, Lihua frowned and turn to one of the people responsible for checking passengers\' identities.

"Give us five rooms on the same floor, preferably next to each other."

Lihua said as she took out a black jade slip that had some words carved on it.

This person who was someone appointed as an inspector by the Mercenary Association heard Lihua and he turned to her and scowled.

"What nonsense are you asking? The rooms are chosen at random but your academy has a section of its own on the ship so just be happy with that and move on."

The person said that as he waved his hand dismissively at Lihua. It wasn\'t the first time someone suggested this as many groups came here and didn\'t want to inconveniently split up. But no matter how influential these people were, the bookings weren\'t going to change for anyone.

However, just as the man was about to look away, he happen to glance at the black jade slip in Lihua\'s hands and read the words.

"Mercenary Token."

"Eh?"

The man was frozen stiff with a shocked expression on his face when he saw that.

However, before he could take a closer look at the token, Lihua quickly placed it back into her robes.

"Are you going to give us the rooms or not?"

The man was snapped out of his shock state upon hearing that, and a hesitant looked appeared on his face. However, it was only briefly as he saw that Lihua was getting impatient.

"Ah, of course, of course, valued customer. This is only a simple matter."

The token itself wasn\'t some command token, it was simply a token that showed the person who had it was a valuable customer for their Mercenary Association. And they weren\'t handed out to someone who just spent a few spirit stones on their services.

If the man ignored Lihua, perhaps he could be blamed for losing such a valuable customer. It would be better to just give her the rooms rather than risk it.

Lihua nodded and she collected the slips that were handed to Yang Su and the others before exchanging them with the ones the man handed to her.

With that, she and the others turned around and began boarding the ship.

A small commotion had occurred as some people had seen Lihua getting a change of rooms, but the man simply ignored their complaints.

"There are five rooms so I\'ll take one while the rest of you share a room. It will take us about four days to reach the Star Bound Continent so I\'ll be in my room cultivating until then. Do whatever boys do and don\'t disturb me unless there is an emergency."

Lihua threw that out before she turn and left, but not before giving Fei Yin the four remaining slips for the rooms.

The boys looked at each other for a moment before Fei Yin spoke up and said.

"I\'ll share a room with Tai. Brother Li Wen and Jun will share a room, while Mu Fan and Fang Chen will share the third, and elder brother you can have the last room for yourself. Is that okay with everyone?"

Jun nodded as well as everyone else.

"I\'ll head to my room to cultivate as well."

Li Wen said before taking his leave with the slip Fei Yin handed to him.

"I\'ll explore the ship…"

"I\'m heading to my room…"

"Me too…"

After everyone made their decision and Fei Yin handed out the slips, he alone was left with Jun and Yang Su who chose not to head to their rooms as yet.

Yang Su after receiving his slip from Fei Yin turned and left. Fei Yin and Jun watched him leave after which they turned to look at each before wordlessly heading in another direction together.

On his own, Yang Su weaved his way through the crowd towards the front of the ship. He soon reached it, but just as he did, he suddenly paused before turning to look at a figure that just walked by him.

They were male from what he saw from under the cloak he was using to hide his appearance; Yang Su felt a hint of familiarity despite not recognizing this person.

Though before he could decipher where that familiarity came from, the ship began to rise into the air. The journey to the Star Bound Continent was on its way.

Yang Su stood at the front of the ship and watched as the scenery changed while the ship reposition itself. Soon the ship was facing toward the Ocean and Yang Su couldn\'t help but be overcome with emotion.

They received confirmation that Li Shen was alive and there was a strong possibility he was on the Star Bound Continent as it was the nearest continent to there\'s. The spatial tear couldn\'t have been strong enough to carry him to the other continents.

"Master, I\'m coming to find you."

Yang Su whispered while the breeze from this altitude blew, causing his robes to flap uncontrollably. However, a transparent shield suddenly appeared around the ship that blocked out the strong winds.

The ship was then about to take off, but the disciples on the ship realized their path was blocked by a swarm of ferocious-looking flying beasts.

Some were worried while others weren\'t. They had a General from the Southern Border to guide them as well as experts originally from the Mercenary Association. If that wasn\'t enough they had the various elders from the Mapple Continent\'s top powers that came to escort the different groups.

This ship was as safe as it could be.

Meanwhile, the ship was getting ready to depart. Yang Su\'s senses picked up on something and his attention couldn\'t help but be drawn to something to his right.

When he turned to look he saw a small silhouette floating in the sky extremely far away.

Due to the veil, Yang Su couldn\'t see clearly so he raised it slightly to get a better look. When he did he realized the dark silhouette was that of a person.

\'Who is that?\'

Yang Su wondered in his heart. He could even sense that person\'s presence from such a far distance away.

But it didn\'t take long for his question to be answered.

Suddenly, an ancient presence was felt waking up to quickly cover the entire Southern Border City. An archaic voice of an old man was then heard reverberating across the entire battlefield.

"Sea King Modu, don\'t tell me your presence here is to wage a full-scale attack on my Southern Border."

*Chuckle*

"Old man South Border, I\'m merely here with my clone but here you are saying that I\'m looking for an all-out war. If I was intending to do that would I send this canon fodder army? I would have directly destroyed this insignificant wall and have your neck in my claws."

"These youngsters nowadays are quite arrogant. Not even the previous Sea King you sneak attacked in order to defeat could make such a claim. You don\'t have such an ability."

*Chuckle*

The Sea King chuckled once again, but this was a chuckle filled with anger. Then one could hear the smirk in his voice as he said.

"Bet."

Rumble

Rumble

Rumble

In response to the Sea King\'s fury, the entire Ocean suddenly erupted in anger like it was a lion that had been poked awake.
