Chapter 412
She recalled everything that happened and thought that everything was too surreal.
Somehow, she had let Zhang Yi Hai coax her into agreeing to a relationship. Just like that, she was now someone’s girlfriend. Moreover, her boyfriend was someone a few years younger than her.
Her face turned red again. She patted her cheeks and slowly calmed down.
Fang Su Jin had never thought that one day, she would be dating her friend’s little brother.
She thought of their interactions from their younger days and could not understand just what is it that makes Zhang Yi Hai like her.
And what was it that makes her like him?
Zhang Yi Hai... he’s very good-looking.
Although he might look a little fierce, Zhang Yi Hai could also be very gentle. Fang Su Jin could not figure out just when did she start having feelings for this young man.
.....
The notification from her phone snapped her out of her trance.
Fang Su Jin reached for her phone and was surprised to see a text message from Zhang Yi Hai, telling her that he had arrived at his apartment.
She glanced at the time and realized that she has been staying in a daze for too long.
After a brief hesitation, Fang Su Jin replied to his text, telling him to rest well. Then, she tossed her phone to her bed before dashing to the bathroom to take a shower. She did not want to wait for his reply, worrying that the young man was going to say something that would stir her heart.
...
On the next day, Fang Su Jin headed to the exhibition center again.
This time, she noticed that there were a lot of people coming to the exhibition as compared to yesterday. Seeing how there were a lot of people looking at and discussing her paintings made her feel anxious.
“Su Jin.”
Hearing her name, Fang Su Jin turned around to find Teacher Jiang walking in her direction with a bright smile on his face.
“Teacher Jiang,” Fang Su Jin greeted her mentor.
The elder man swept his gaze across the room and smiled. “It seemed that there were a lot of people coming today.”
“Mhm.” Fang Su Jin nodded. “I was surprised to see the people as well.”
Teacher Jiang laughed. “The reporters from the Blue Media Group worked quite fast. They interviewed everyone yesterday, and the article about this exhibition was already published last evening. Su Jin, this is good.”
Fang Su Jin smiled, upon seeing that her mentor was in a good mood.
“That’s right, Su Jin, you should be free this afternoon, right?” Teacher Jiang spoke.
Fang Su Jin thought of her schedule and nodded. She actually planned to stay at the exhibition for a while to look around. Then, perhaps, she would head back to the hotel and catch up with her sleep.
Last night, Fang Su Jin could not sleep very well due to some excitement.
“I should be free.”
The smile on her mentor’s face widened. “Then, let’s go to lunch together. I want to introduce you to some people from the Art Association. The other artists will be joining as well.”
“Teacher Jiang, I will listen to your arrangement.”
The student and teacher chatted for a while before Teacher Jiang left to settle a few things. Fang Su Jin stayed around the exhibition center for a while until it was time for lunch.
When the time comes, Fang Su Jin followed her mentor to a restaurant nearby.
As soon as they entered the private room, there was already a few other artists waiting in the private room.
When the people from Capital City Art Association arrived, they started to discuss their plan to bring this exhibition to F Country.
Fang Su Jin was not surprised as she had heard her mentor mention this plan yesterday. However, she was still surprised to hear that the discussion with the people in F Country had gone smoothly and that the exhibition would happen sooner than they thought.
With the report from the Blue Media Group, they expected that the exhibition was going to be popular. It would be better to hold the exhibition in F Country sooner while the people were still talking about them.
The discussion with the people from the Art Association lasted longer than they thought it would.
When it ended, Fang Su Jin decided to head back to the exhibition center to pick up some belongings that she had left there.
To her surprise, Fang Su Jin found a familiar silhouette standing in front of her paintings, just like yesterday.
Fang Su Jin stood rooted on the ground while staring at the young man. He was tall and his back was wide. Fang Su Jin recalled watching this similar view in the past when Zhang Yi Hai had suddenly appeared to save her from some troublemakers.
Looking at this scenery before her gave her this feeling that she could rely on him. Zhang Yi Hai’s tall figure and wide shoulders gave her a sense of security.
As if he could sense her gaze, Zhang Yi Hai turned around slowly. His lips turned up into a gentle smile as he met her eyes.
“Sister Fang.” Zhang Yi Hai called as he walked to her.
“When did you come?”
“A while ago,” Zhang Yi Hai said. “The staff said you went with your mentor for a discussion.”
“Then, you decided to wait?”
“Mhm...” Zhang Yi Hai nodded.
“Why did you get here so early?” Fang Su Jin asked. She lowered her gaze as she pushed a few strands of hair behind her ear. “Didn’t you say that you are coming in the evening? Don’t you have a class to attend?”
Zhang Yi Hai chuckled. “Sister Fang, look at the time.”
Fang Su Jin looked at the time and noticed that it was quite late. The exhibition center was about to close in less than two hours.
The discussion with the Art Association lasted that long?
“My class ended earlier,” Zhang Yi Hai spoke again. “I miss you, so I decided to come earlier to find you.”
Fang Su Jin looked up again when she heard his words. Then, her heartbeat accelerated.
