Chapter 81

As the light turned off, the planetarium projector started to project the vast night sky with various beautiful stars on the dome-shaped ceiling.

The soothing and gentle music sounded as the two were lying on the soft bed in the middle of the planetarium room.

“It’s more amazing than I thought,” Kanata said as she used Tsukasa’s arm as a pillow. While the quality of the bed wasn’t as good as she had expected, his arm pillow was so comfortable, and it felt so romantic, watching the stars together with her loved one in this planetarium.

“I’m glad that you love it,” Tsukasa said with a smile.

“While I know that you like stars, can I ask why did you choose a planetarium as the place for our first date?” Kanata asked curiously. “Is there a meaning behind it?”

“There’s no special meaning, really.” Tsukasa stretched his arm toward the ceiling and said, “You should know that I like stars and I often saw them whether I was in Fukuoka or Hiroshima, but it is hard to see them in Tokyo, considering how bright this city is.”

While the world was different and many things in this world were different from his previous world, the stars were the same. There was no difference, and it was the reason that made it fascinating, especially when he had been living in the forest before.

In the forest, there was nothing interesting besides playing with animals or learning new knowledge.

When Tsukasa couldn’t sleep at night, he would usually watch the stars until he fell asleep.

However, after Tsukasa met Touka and the director of the Wakaba house, he didn’t see the stars anymore since instead of sleeping with the stars, it was better to sleep with the beautiful director of the Wakaba house.

Tsukasa somehow missed the director of the Wakaba House institution, Hisako Nishikata.

‘Well, she’s older now.’

Many years had passed, and of course, a normal human-like Hisako couldn’t fight against the time, which made him sigh.

However, this wasn’t the time to be melancholic.

Instead, Tsukasa needed to continue to flirt with Kanata.

“However, what I like about the stars is because they remind me of something,” Tsukasa said.

“Remind yourself of something? Remind yourself of what?” Kanata asked curiously.

“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you will land among the stars.” Tsukasa looked at Kanata and asked, “Have you heard that sentence?”

“I know.” Kanata nodded and asked, “What’s wrong with it?”

“You often hear this sentence to encourage people to aim big. It seems great at first and really inspiring until you think about it for a second. It makes the moon seem way more attractive, interesting, and important than all the stars. The only problem with this concept is that the reason the moon seems more important is that it is the closest to us and therefore looks bigger. Similar to love, it has never been about choosing the closest thing to you, the easiest to get, or the simplest relationship.”

Tsukasa looked at Kanata as he held her hand and intertwined their fingers. He stared into her eyes with a gentle smile and said, “Love is about finding the special someone in a sea of people, that someone who makes you feel special, who improves your mood, and who makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Sometimes you already know someone with whom things can be easy and look attractive on the surface, but deep inside you, you can’t love them, and you choose that other person who can be living far away, out of your league, according to some people or just a complicated story, just because you love them more than anything else on earth.”

“Tsukasa…” Kanata stared at Tsukasa feverishly and couldn’t look away.

“Like me.” Tsukasa smiled and said, “I’m just a poor orphanage at that time, and you’re a princess of the Totokubara family. You’re so far and unattainable to me, but now, you’re so close to me, which is why don’t you ever think that you’re being a burden to me or you feel bad to see me working hard since, for me, you’re my happiness and it is because it isn’t simple and easily attainable that I’ll treasure you more and more.”

Kanata didn’t say anything and pressed her lips against his.

Neither of them cared about the stars anymore and kept kissing each other as they held each other’s bodies.

While Kanata was a Blazer, her body was far weaker than Tsukasa or Touka, so she was quickly defeated by him.

However, Kanata forced herself and kept kissing him even if she had lost her breath to show how much she loved him.

As they parted their lips, they pressed their foreheads against each other.

Kanata looked at him with a gaze full of love as she crossed his cheek with her soft and cold hand and said, “I love you, Tsukasa.”

Tsukasa kissed Kanata’s forehead and said, “I love you too, Kanata.”

The two giggled as they flirted, played, talked, and did whatever they could in this place as they enjoyed their time together.

While talking about stars, Kanata suddenly asked, “Tsukasa, you love stars, right?”

“I love stars, but I love you more,” Tsukasa said with a smile.

Kanata blushed and hammered his chest shyly before she snuggled on his chest.

“So, what’s wrong?” Tsukasa asked.

“What’s your favorite star?” Kanata suddenly asked.

“My favorite star?” Tsukasa thought for a moment, then said, “I don’t have a favorite star. I love all of them.” His relationship was similar, there were many stars in his life, and their worth was similar in his heart. “However, there’s one constellation that annoys me.”

“Oh? What kind?” Kanata was curious.

“It’s Altair and Vega,” Tsukasa said.

“Huh?” Kanata was dumbfounded and asked, “Why does it annoy you? And isn’t the story of Altair and Vega romantic? Don’t the story of Orihime and Hikoboshi, who is separated by the Milky Way as they can only meet each other for a year, move you?”

“No.” Tsukasa shook his head and said, “I think that it is stupid.”

“Stupid?” Kanata even became dumbfounded.

“You see?” Tsukasa pointed at Altair and Vega, which were separated by the Milky Way in the planetarium. “They love each other, yet they can only meet each other for one day a year because they’re punished by Tentei for slacking their job. If it were me, I wouldn’t allow it to happen. I want to stay with the woman that I love every moment, hearing her voice, feeling her body warm, and watching her every day even if I have to fight Tentei to allow it to happen. I won’t succumb to fate and just be satisfied with the status quo. After all, I love her.”

However, as Tsukasa ended his words, Kanata suddenly straddled his waist and pushed him on the bottom. He was speechless and could see that her eyes were wrong for some reason.

“…What are you doing?”

“Sorry, I can’t hold it anymore.” Kanata moved closer and whispered, “I’ll support you, so we can be together from now on and in the future.” She then kissed his lips again without hesitation since if she didn’t do so, her heart would explode from each of his sweet words.

Tsukasa was helpless and wondered why he had always been pushed by women, but he didn’t hate it.

‘Luckily, there’s no camera here.’

They forgot about the stars again and started their fight again.

Still, in this position, there were many things that would happen.

‘It’s big.’

Kanata thought as she continued falling deeper into Tsukasa.
