Chapter 325 - Can’t Put It On Hold

“I won’t disturb both of you then. I’ll return to my office.”

Jiang Xuecheng nodded slightly and then went into the exclusive elevator with Tang Yifeng. They went straight up to the twenty-seventh floor.

After Jiang Xuecheng opened the door, Tang Yifeng sat on the velvet sofa leisurely.

Jiang Xuecheng darted him a look and asked faintly, “Would you like to drink coffee or tea?”

“Neither.” A sense of teasing appeared on Tang Yifeng’s handsome face. “What about red wine? I’ve missed that bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon in your wine cabinet for a long time.”

Tang Yifeng paused as he suddenly thought of something. “I remember you spending a lot of money to bid a bottle of 1992 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon. Did you keep it or have you finished it?”

When Tang Yifeng mentioned the 1992 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon, a faint smile appeared on Jiang Xuecheng’s cold face.

“That bottle of red wine got drunk by a cat a few months ago.”

Wasn’t Su Wan who got drunk after drinking, a little drunken cat at that time?

“Ah? Look at you, you’re not even angry?”

Tang Yifeng teased. Jiang Xuecheng was not a wine lover but Tang Yifeng was a real red wine fan.

A bottle of 1992 Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon was so precious. Who would have thought it would go into a cat’s stomach?

Tang Yifeng was immersed in regrets and for a moment, he had neglected the fact that Jiang Xuecheng had no particular interest in little animals and had never reared a cat before.

“It’s just a bottle of wine. What is there to feel pity about?”

Jiang Xuecheng turned around and walked to the wine cabinet. He picked up a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon of recent years.

Tang Yifeng grabbed the bottle of red wine and poured himself and Jiang Xuecheng a glass each.

Tang Yifeng drank it without a drop left and then started to praise, “It’s good wine!”

“Red wine made by the old winery at Dong Chen indeed tastes better than those made locally,” Jiang Xuecheng said quietly.

He raised the glass gracefully and following how Tang Yifeng drank, drank it without a drop left.

“Aren’t you here to ask me something? You didn’t come to request a glass of red wine from me, did you?”

Tang Yifeng leisurely crossed his legs as he ridiculed, “So what if I did come to ask for a glass of red wine?”

Tang Yifeng rolled his eyes. Very quickly, he took the dark red bottle of wine and poured himself another glass.

This time, Tang Yifeng did not drink it all at once. He took a sip and started to look serious.

“What are you going to do about Sheng An’ning and Su Wan? On my way here, I took a look at the public discussion on the Internet. The comments are bad for Sis Wan. Have you thought of removing the comments?”

It was more than just bad!

To Tang Yifeng, if not for the good security system in Di Chen Group, he was afraid that Sheng An’ning’s fanatical fans would have come here to drown Su Wan with their saliva.

Jiang Xuecheng placed the goblet down and coldness arose in his eyes.

“Sheng An’ning is now a new star. Her popularity has increased very quickly. The Jiang family and Di Chen Group has always attracted attention. We can’t just remove the post if we want to calm these people down.”

So what if it was removed?

Wouldn’t there still be rumors on the streets and lanes?

At the end of the day, it wasn’t just journalists who were obsessed with big family scandals. Most people liked to hear this sort of story. Therefore, putting this matter on hold and waiting for an appropriate opportunity would only aggravate the rumors.

Tang Yifeng looked up slightly and examined Jiang Xuecheng’s face which seemed to have been covered with frost. He couldn’t help but smirk.

“I say, handsome men like us have lots of worries. Just solving the problem of pursuers alone is enough to cause us headache.”

Jiang Xuecheng raised his brows indifferently. His dark eyes were filled with ridicule.

“You have such worries?”

Being mocked by Jiang Xuecheng, Tang Yifeng suddenly felt like splashing the red wine on Jiang Xuecheng’s face. Even if Jiang Xuecheng was handsome, he shouldn’t put people down like this.

Tang Yifeng raised his hand and touched his hair.

“That’s because my admirers are more gentle and thoughtful. They won’t cut their wrists easily like Sheng An’ning.”

Jiang Xuecheng sneered in disdain. Suddenly, he sympathized with Lu Xiao who had always been infatuated with Tang Yifeng.

“I don’t know about others, but if Lu Xiao knew that you thought so about her, she would want to cut her wrist.”

Lu Xiao, who was serving her customer in the shop, sneezed suddenly. Who was thinking of her early in the morning?

Hearing the mentioning of Lu Xiao, Tang Yifeng’s pupils darkened. He then sighed and stopped teasing.

Jiang Xuecheng didn’t have many good friends and even fewer were female friends. Lu Xiao had a cool personality and could chat with him.

Furthermore, Lu Xiao had liked Tang Yifeng for many years. Jiang Xuecheng didn’t understand why Tang Yifeng maintained an ambiguous relationship with Lu Xiao.

If he didn’t like her, why was he giving her hope instead of refusing her? If he liked her, their relationship was merely beyond friendship but not lovers.

A trace of doubt flashed through Jiang Xuecheng’s handsome face. He couldn’t help asking, “What do you think of Lu Xiao? Are you really not going to marry before the age of thirty-five?”

Tang Yifeng frowned. After taking another sip of wine, he spoke.

“Weren’t we talking about our sisters just now? I won’t be thirty until the new year. Why are you so free to be concerned about my marriage? Don’t worry, if I wish to have a wife, all the single women in S City would come queueing.”

Seeing Tang Yifeng’s unreasonable response, Jiang Xuecheng pursed his lips and returned to the initial topic.

Everyone would have his fate and he really didn’t have to worry about Tang Yifeng.

“Tomorrow afternoon, I’ll hold a press conference at Di Chen. You don’t have to worry about this for me.”

Upon hearing this, Tang Yifeng was stunned. As far as he knew, Jiang Xuecheng didn’t like to deal with the reporters in his life. He had not expected him to make an exception for Su Wan’s sake.

After thinking for a while, he finally asked, “Have you found the evidence?”

Jiang Xuecheng had his style of doing things. He would always be well-prepared and without full assurance, he would not hold the press conference.

“I guess so. These things are just to ruin Su Wan’s image, but what people are concerned about isn’t this. To them, they just want to watch the fun. After the press conference, they would talk for a while before their attentions shift to other things.”

It would be better to guide things back on track then blocking and suppressing. Rather than letting people guess wildly, it would be better to give an official statement.

Tang Yifeng nodded as if deep in thought and a sharp light flashed through his eyes.

“Listening to what you’ve said, Sis Wan would most probably be alright, but what about An’ning?”
