Chapter 191: Ch.190 Tour

Chapter 191: Ch.190 Tour

"Well, you\'ll need to take off your helmet first; otherwise, how can I kiss you?" Lorraine brushed her golden hair aside, trying to steady her heartbeat as she flashed a coy smile. She leaned slightly against the cold armor.

"This armor\'s material is unknown, as are his weapons. Keep gathering information, Lorraine, you can do this," she thought as her eyes darted, planning her next move.

Su Ming had expected this response. He knew that women trained as agents often had to employ seduction as a tactic. But he had more pressing matters to attend to. He\'d have fun with "Little Rose" another time.

"Sorry, wrong person. You\'re not Agent Carter. I\'m here for her. Excuse me."

Su Ming simply pushed her aside and, without turning back, drew his sword and slashed through the lab door.

Lorraine was left utterly dumbfounded.

Did he really confuse her for Peggy just because they were both British? But she had blonde hair, while Peggy\'s was brown! That excuse was too flimsy!

And besides, what did Peggy have that she didn\'t? She was taller, slimmer, and wasn\'t America obsessed with blonde women? Plus, she had a military rank, even if it was only sergeant. Peggy didn\'t even have that—she was just Agent 13!

Her first attempt at seduction had failed miserably.

Lorraine slumped to the side, realizing she didn\'t have the courage to chase after him. The voice behind that mask had sounded like a growl from hell itself, laced with a chilling coldness that needed no explanation.

Su Ming stepped through the shattered lab door and immediately headed toward the observation room.

Inside, the high-ranking officials were huddled together. These politicians were useless in a combat situation.

A few tall MPs in white helmets emerged and fired at Su Ming, but the officials could only watch in horror as the black-and-yellow-armored figure casually strolled toward them, effortlessly knocking out the MPs and flinging them like ragdolls, piling them up ten meters away.

Their breaths became shallow, and they couldn\'t help but swallow hard.

The flimsy door to the observation room stood no chance against this man.

Among the group, only Colonel Phillips and Agent Carter remained somewhat composed, though they had no plan of action. They were in the middle of their Super Soldier serum ceremony, yet here was someone else\'s super soldier crashing their party!

Meanwhile, the scientists in the lab below were too focused on Steve\'s experiment to notice the commotion above. The chamber emitted blinding light and a deafening sound as their attention remained entirely on Steve.

Su Ming glanced down at the scene. Through the tactical visor in his helmet, he saw that the radiation levels on Steve\'s platform had only reached 60%.

He still had time to "bond" with these spectators.

BAM!

He kicked the observation room door open, startling everyone inside. Then, he scanned the room, counting the heads.

Good. It was similar to the movie universe.

"Which one of you is Fred Clemson from the \'Federal Government\'?"

His raspy voice echoed from behind the mask.

Fred didn\'t step forward, but the people around him did the job for him. The crowd instinctively parted, isolating him.

The young man with glasses turned pale. The situation had taken a drastic turn, and it was clear he wouldn\'t be able to complete the mission assigned to him by the Reich.

"De—"

BANG!

Before he could say anything, Su Ming shot him in the head. The .45 caliber bullet did what it always did—reliably exploding his head like a watermelon.

Fred Clemson had a bomb on him, and a remote detonator in his hand. Su Ming couldn\'t afford to let him live, though the others still had their uses.

As the surrounding officials screamed in horror, covered in blood and brain matter, Su Ming fired a few more rounds into the ceiling to quiet them down.

"Colonel Phillips, keep your hands away from any weapons, or I\'ll detonate a grenade right here."

Su Ming had noticed Phillips and Carter whispering to each other, probably plotting a way to take him down. But as the light from below grew brighter, it seemed they had hoped to use the opportunity for an attack.

Too bad for them, he had hostages—high-ranking officials at that. Su Ming didn\'t even need to push them. The terrified, overweight politicians were already glaring at Phillips and Peggy, silently ordering them to stand down.

"Colonel, don\'t resist!"

"Yeah, Phillips, don\'t get us killed!"

"Damn it, I order you to drop your weapons!"

Phillips sighed in resignation. Being a soldier meant following orders, but where the hell was Fury when you needed him?

He raised his hands in surrender, signaling that he was giving up. At the same time, he observed the man before him—the distinctive single-eyed mask was unforgettable.

"Who are you?"

Su Ming waved his gun, motioning for everyone to line up against the wall. Only Phillips and Carter were to remain.

"Mercenary. Deathstroke."

Colonel Phillips\'s eyes widened as he connected the dots. He wasn\'t a New Yorker, but he had heard the city\'s urban legends.

There were stories about a demon prowling New York at night, clad in black and yellow armor, hunting for sacrifices in the streets and alleys.

Those marked by the demon would be tortured, their souls torn to pieces and dragged to hell.

And now, the demon stood right in front of him.

But if this was a mercenary, maybe money could resolve the issue. SSR didn\'t have much cash, but surely an organization could muster up more than an individual.

"What do you want?" Phillips cautiously asked.

"What do you think? My goal is the same as those seventy people lying outside. What else could I be after?"

Su Ming smirked behind his mask. The Strategic Scientific Reserve was riddled with spies, and Phillips hadn\'t even noticed.

He was a competent soldier, but leading a covert intelligence agency was beyond him. Spy warfare was not within his skill set.

"The serum is out of the question," Carter interjected firmly. Her face was resolute. "And it doesn\'t look like you need it anyway. We can pay you double if you name your employer and leave."

Su Ming chuckled, nodding as if in agreement. "You should pay up because there\'s a German spy among you. I just killed him."

"What?!"

The most shocked wasn\'t Phillips or Carter, but the senator who had arrived with the young man.

The senator didn\'t really know Fred Clemson. He had just heard that Clemson was a government official from Washington and had invited him to travel together.

But now, things had taken a dangerous turn. If people found out he had been associated with a Nazi, it would undoubtedly destroy his political career.
