Chapter 803: Agreement
Chapter 803: Agreement
She didn’t complete the rest of her sentence, but everyone present knew what she meant. If a rank five talisman was able to do something like that, there was no reason a rank six talisman couldn’t do it!
Shang Xia chuckled softly to himself and he tried to explain. However, Chu Jia beat him to it. “Could it be because of your Five Element Origin?”
Glancing at her, Shang Xia nodded with a wide smile on his face.
“No wonder you keep thinking of the Five Element Teleportation Formation and keep pestering me to help you with it. You probably got the inspiration from your Teleportation Talisman, right?” Chu Jia gasped.
Shang Xia nodded once again. “Before I completed the rank five Teleportation Talisman, I wasn’t certain that it would be able to pass through the heavenly screen undetected. In fact, I only managed to complete the talisman with its current effects due to luck. Of course, the inspiration for the Five Element Teleportation Talisman came from the talisman...”
Before Chu Jia arrived, Shang Xia already started to describe the battle against Feng Yezi in detail to the 3 deputy patriarchs. Even though she interrupted them midway through his explanation, they didn’t kick her out and tell her to leave. As such, she didn’t stand on ceremony as she stayed behind to listen to the rest of it.
Ji Wenlong quickly brought them back to the topic they were talking about earlier. “I didn’t think that Jiu Qi from the Divine Capital Sect would actually make an appearance. That was something we didn’t account for and it nearly caused our plan to fall through. Fortunately, Little Xia’s combat abilities were outstanding and he managed to kill Feng Yezi in such a short amount of time. Otherwise, our You Continent would be facing a whole other situation.”
Shang Bo turned solemn and he muttered, “Even though Jiu Qi’s appearance was unexpected, it was something we should have thought about. Don’t you remember Patriarch Kou’s guess back then?”
Everyone fell silent and Chu Jia looked at the rest with a look of confusion. Clearly, there was something she didn’t know.
However, she understood that since they hadn’t brought it up before, it was definitely related to some sort of secret only known to those at the higher level. Even her current self might not be qualified to learn about it. Or perhaps, if she wanted to learn about them, she would have to go receive permission from Patriarch Kou.
Even though she was still curious, she didn’t try to dig deeper and ask questions. She sat quietly while listening to their conversation.
Laughing softly, Shang Xia broke the silence from earlier. “At the very least, we can prove 2 things. Patriarch Kou’s conjecture was probably correct, and if that is truly the case, the Bing Continent seems really important to the Divine Capital Sect.”
The deputy patriarchs nodded slightly, and their expressions remained really solemn.
Shang Bo picked up from where Shang Xia left off, but his voice sounded a little hoarse. “From a geographical standpoint, the Bing Continent is closer to the Divine Capital Sect than the Eternal Palace. Our You Continent might be really far from the Si Continent where the Divine Capital Sect is located, but we’re even further from the Eternal Palace. Wouldn’t that mean that the Divine Capital Sect... Doesn’t that mean they were behind the calamity we suffered back then?!”
Chu Jia, who was sitting quietly at the side, was greatly taken aback. She seemed to have heard one of the hidden secrets of the institution.
However, Shang Xia shook his head slightly in response. “The Divine Capital Sect wouldn’t have been able to do it alone. Even if we bring the Eternal Palace into this, it still wouldn’t be enough. All we can determine from this is that the Bing and You Continent seems more important to the Divine Capital Sect, nothing else.”
“It’s a shame. We have no idea what he’s doing at the moment and we can’t do anything about it. If we tell him what happened during the battle, he will definitely be able to deduce many things...” Yun Jing muttered softly.
The person she was talking about was naturally Kou Chongxue, and Shang Xia decided to reveal what he discovered. “I’ve observed his cultivation grounds before, and I went there more than once.”
Shang Bo could tell that it wasn’t all Shang Xia wanted to say and he quickly asked, “What are you trying to tell us?”
Pressing his lips together, Shang Xia muttered, “Actually, even if Patriarch Kou entered seclusion and is in a deep state of cultivation, I am slightly confident of breaking all the restrictions leading into his cultivation grounds without alerting him. It’s just that I would need some time to pull it off.”
“What?!” The faces of Ji Wenlong, Shang Bo, and Yun Jing changed instantly.
However, they weren’t the people who had the strongest reaction. Instead, it was Chu Jia who had stayed silent the whole time.
“Are you really able to break the restrictions Patriarch Kou personally laid down?!” Chu Jia gasped.
Shang Xia nodded in response. “It’s not that I won’t be able to do it in a short amount of time, but the disturbance I would cause would be huge. It might also cause some damage to the Tongyou Paradise if I tried to break through as quickly as possible.”
Chu Jia followed up with another question before he could say more. “How are you actually able to do something like that? When Patriarch Kou laid down his restrictions, I helped him with a portion of it. He personally strengthened them after we were done, and even I have no confidence of breaking it.”
Kou Chongxue didn’t emerge from seclusion for a long time and the higher-ups of the Tongyou Institution had been thinking of breaking the restrictions since some time ago. Chu Jia was obviously involved in the process, but every time she went to take a closer look, she would notice the layers of sword qi hidden in them. She would tremble in fear with her scalp turning slightly numb.
Shang Xia chuckled, “There’s no restriction we can’t destroy. The only problem would be how long it would take to do it.”
Naturally, Chu Jia was more than knowledgeable about that fact. However, that wasn’t what she was asking about at the moment as she examined Shang Xia from top to bottom. “Don’t tell me it’s because of your Five Element Origin...”
Shang Xia didn’t respond, but seeing the look on his face, he basically confirmed what Chu Jia was asking.
The deputy patriarchs who managed to regain their composure turned to stare at him as Yun Jing was the first to ask, “If we had to think of breaking into his cultivation grounds back then, there would be no need for it now. After all, your feat of killing Feng Yezi is enough to shock the various factions and force them into a passive state for some time.”
Of everyone present, she was probably the person who had the strongest hope that nothing happened to Kou Chongxue. In fact, she was probably the person who wished to enter his cultivation grounds to verify what was going on the most.
Her way of thinking and what she said might be contradictory, but it was understandable.
“What do you plan to do next?” Shang Bo asked suddenly.
After thinking for a moment, Shang Xia chuckled, “Well, I caught everyone’s attention and I obviously have to lie low for some time. I can’t be the nail that sticks out and becomes a target for those with malicious intent...”
Shang Bo nodded in agreement. “That would be great. Our Tongyou Institution has been gathering fate dipper essence these years and even though the amount of resources in our Azure Ascension World increased, there were many new Martial Dipper Realm experts born in the various factions. There isn’t a need to mention Origin Dippers. Even fate dipper essences are getting harder to find, and the prices have been increasing. Fortunately, when you were patrolling the sea of stars, we managed to obtain some fate dipper essences. Take a look and see if you can use them.”
Ji Wenlong and Yun Jing naturally didn’t oppose what he said. Killing Feng Yezi was a massive contribution that affected many things, and the Tongyou Institution had to reward Shang Xia.
Shang Xia wouldn’t reject such goodwill as it was the best time for him to increase his cultivation.
The next second, he seemed to recall something and the grin on his face grew even wider. “Oh right. It’s not like I gained nothing after killing Feng Yezi...”
When he noticed everyone looking at him, he brought out a crystal bottle that was used to seal precious treasures before shaking it in his hands. He laughed, “Can you see what’s in here?”
The moment he brought the bottle out, he drew their gazes over. However, looks of confusion appeared on their faces in response to his question.
Seeing as the deputy patriarchs were also clueless, Chu Jia snapped, “Hey! What are you playing at? Did you bring out an empty bottle or something?!”
Shang Xia chuckled and carefully passed the crystal bottle that was stacked with multiple layers of restrictions to Ji Wenlong who was beside him.
With a slight frown on his face, Ji Wenlong received the bottle and looked at Shang Xia before staring at the bottle in his hand. Finally, he sent his divine will into the bottle bypassing the restrictions on it. His eyes widened in shock and a surprised gasp left his lips. He then passed the bottle to Yun Jing.
After inspecting it slightly, Yun Jing wasn’t able to discover what was inside due to her weaker cultivation level compared to the rest. She could only hand the bottle over to Shang Bo with a confused look on her face.
After Shang Bo refined his second fate dipper, his cultivation level surpassed even Ji Wenlong. Carefully inspecting the bottle, he couldn’t help but raise his head to ask Shang Xia, “Is this a Wind Fate Dipper?”
Nodding happily, Shang Xia replied, “To be exact, it should be the Hidden Wind Fate Dipper. I obtained it after killing Feng Yezi.”
“Did Feng Yezi already refine his second fate dipper?!” Yun Jing couldn’t help but ask.
However, she seemed to realize the problem after the words left her lips. “No... That’s not right. If he truly refined his second fate dipper, you wouldn’t be able to retain the complete Origin Dipper after killing him. The Origin Dipper in the bottle seems to be complete, right?”
She still couldn’t be sure and she turned to Ji Wenlong for an answer.
Shang Bo seemed to realize they had been ignoring someone the whole time and he turned to the side, only to be met with Chu Jia’s curious gaze. A faint smile appeared on his face as he handed the bottle over.
Chu Jia hastily received it, and she tried to use her divine perception to inspect its contents. Unfortunately, it seemed like an empty bottle to her.
Refusing to accept the fact that she couldn’t feel it, she continued to probe the bottle with her divine perception. A loud smack filled the air, startling everyone as Ji Wenlong slapped his thigh and yelled, “Yeah! That’s a complete Hidden Wind Fate Dipper! It’s said to be extremely rare as even if it was nurtured somewhere, almost no one would be able to discover its presence. I didn’t think that Feng Yezi would be lucky enough to obtain a complete Hidden Wind Fate Dipper!”
Shang Bo nodded before turning to Shang Xia. “Did he not refine the Hidden Wind Fate Dipper at all?”
“Fortunately, he hadn’t refined it. Otherwise, let’s not talk about whether I’ll be able to kill a second element Martial Dipper Realm expert. I might not even be able to discover his whereabouts!” Shang Xia forced a laugh.
Ji Wenlong, Shang Bo, and Yun Jing thought about some simple records about the Hidden Wind Fate Dipper, and a wave of fear filled their hearts. Collectively, they heaved a sigh of relief that Feng Yezi hadn’t refined it.
Ji Wenlong and Shang Bo glanced at each other subtly, and the 2 Martial Dipper Realm deputy patriarchs of the institution seemed to have reached a tacit agreement.
Shang Bo spoke for both of them, “Third Sister, you might be able to attempt a breakthrough to the Martial Dipper Realm...”
