Chapter 146 She's Serious About This

Fortunately, it seems like it\'s normal for porters to be arranged to help customers deliver purchased goods to a specified destination, especially when large purchases are made.

We thus made arrangements for our purchases to be delivered to Lisa\'s shop where I will take home myself later.

No need for them to know I\'m part of the Nilm family by giving them my address.

I\'m still not sure how I should tell Lisa about it though…

It\'s clear she doesn\'t like nobles in particular but our Nilm family should be an exception right? Unless she doesn\'t know about us?

Now that I think about it… Are there any other non-Mahun noble families around here? I mean… They aren\'t common right? So if Lisa knows that I\'m a noble and also not a Mahun, she should be able to narrow down which family I\'m from right?

Unless… Unless she already knows and is just pretending she doesn\'t?

Hmm… Oh well, who cares? If she actually does know, it just makes it easier on me. If she doesn\'t… I don\'t intend on staying to take over the family anyway so it shouldn\'t matter once I graduate.

Heck, I don\'t even know if I\'ll even be seeing Lisa much after I start travelling around the World either. She might just choose to remain behind in the capital instead.

That\'s why it\'s better just to focus on the now instead of the later, especially when Lisa was currently pulling me through the streets of the city excitedly.

"Look, look, Aster! I always wanted to try going there together with someone before! Let\'s go! Let\'s go!"

The only reason why I\'m letting her pull me around was because she told me there was a really good dessert shop for couples she wanted to try going to. But because she never had a partner to go with before this, she never went there.

She even made sure to mention that they had some kind of deluxe, special, couples dessert that had everything you could ever want in a dessert. There was cream, ice cream, frozen fruits, more cream, cookies, chocolate, and even more cream!

I was already drooling when she told me about it and even more so when the shop came into view, revealing itself to be a very picturesque patisserie near a fountain square, the very same kind that I had imagined myself to be owning in the future.

It was perfect too!

The place had patio seatings outside with those little tables that had umbrellas on them, glass windows to allow customers seated inside to gaze at the streets outside, a coffee counter with a cake display on the side complete with a very homely overall design to boot.

It\'s almost as if Lisa had been reading my journal!

Oh my gosh! There\'s even a maitre d\' waiting at the front too!

"Good day, honoured guests. Do you have a reservation?" He asked.

Lisa wrapped her arm around mine, "Oh yes~ Under the name Lisaster~"

Did she just…

Ok… First of all, please don\'t merge it like that… It sounds like we are a disaster…

I mean… I know I am, but no need to drag yourself into it as well, girl~

Second of all… This is so embarrassing…

The maitre d\' checked the little book he had in front of him and went down the list with a gloved finger, "Ah, I see it right here. Please follow me."

He gestured towards the door and Lisa pulled me along behind him, humming a merry tune as she did so.

We were seated at a table outside with a clear view of the fountain, giving us, debatably, the best view of the place.

"I shall be back with your refreshments, please enjoy the complimentary snacks while you wait," He gestured to the cookies on the table.

Ahhhh~ This place really is perfect… I quickly noted down all the things they were doing that I really liked so that I know what kind of shop I would make in the future too.

"Ehehehe~ What do you think, Aster? I think I\'m pretty good at planning dates aren\'t I?" Lisa giggled.

I have to admit, she really is.

But I think it\'s time for me to address the elephant in the room… Or in this World\'s terms, \'the Magrider hanging on the ceiling\'.

There\'s apparently a story behind that saying but that\'s for another time.

"Lisa… Could I ask you something?"

"Eh? What is it, Aster? If you\'re asking if we can go all the way today… We can, you know?"

"Ummm… No, it\'s not about that… I was just wondering… What is our relationship? Are we just sex friends?"

Lisa tilted her head at me, "Eh? Did I not say it before? I\'m planning to devote my life to you as your soul mate, Aster."

"Wha… What?"

"Mmhmm~ I\'ve already decided to follow you, you know?"

"Wait, wait… You were serious about it back then? But… We have barely known each other for a month!"

She reached out and grasped my hand in hers, "No… I have known you my whole life, Aster… I\'ve dreamt and seen visions of my time together with you and they were all filled with such bliss and happiness I could not wish for anything else.. But… If… If you think I\'m too much of a bother…"

I quickly cut her off by grabbing her hand, "No! I don\'t think like that! I\'m just… I… I guess I\'m not used to people deciding to devote their entire lives to me so quickly…"

She twirled a finger in her hair, "Hehe~ I would say you just have a charm about you~ And I\'m not just talking about your silver hair either. Besides, aren\'t you the same by being with me as well?"

Hold up, I just heard something unexpected.

"What does my hair have to do with anything?"

Lisa blinked at me, "Eh… Are you serious? Have you not noticed, Aster?"

"Noticed what?"

She gestured vaguely to the side and I turned, spotting several people who seemed to have been looking in our direction but turned away the moment they saw me looking at them.

I turned back to her, "Umm… I don\'t get it?"

"Silver hair isn\'t common, you know? And on you, it makes you look really, really beautiful~ Have you not realised that people look at you when you pass by?"

They… They do? I never realised that…

"Oh dear, oh dear~ My Aster is not even aware of how desirable she is… Do you already have a harem without yourself knowing?"

I don\'t think my maids count and I\'m pretty sure Katsuki and Odeta don\'t see me that way either… At least, they don\'t now… So I think I can safely say that I don\'t have one… Yet.

"I… Don\'t think I do…" I told her a little lamely.

Lisa reached out to hold my hand again, "Well, I just hope that when you do, I have a place in it~"

\'When\' and not \'if\' huh…

Putting that aside…

"When you said you had dreams and visions of me… Were you talking about your clairvoyance?" I asked.

"Oh yes~ Would you like to see them too?"

"Eh? You can show me?"

"Ehehe~ Of course~ Maybe when we\'re alone… I can show you some of what I saw~"

"But… Does that mean the future is set in stone?"

"Oh, not at all! The future is just one of many paths that can happen. A variation along the way can make it such that that specific future may not happen."

I raised an eyebrow at her, "Then doesn\'t that make it such that knowing the future may also cause you to inadvertently prevent it because you already know about it?"

"Ehehe~ That is a possibility, but you can also actively work towards making it a reality, like what I\'m doing right now~ I promise you it\'ll be worth it, Aster~"

Well… If she\'s so sure about it… It\'s not like I hate her or anything anyway.

There\'s one thing I still want to know though.

I looked at her seriously, "I\'m planning to explore the World once I graduate… What does Lisa intend to do?"

She smiled, "I have no qualms about closing up shop and following you to the ends of the World, Aster~"

"Eh? Isn\'t the shop your grandmother\'s?"

"She never asked me to keep it open in the first place~ It was just my way of remembering her for taking care of me~ Besides, she was an Adventurer, I also do have wishes on wanting to see the World when I listened to her stories too~"

Looks like she already thought this through, then there\'s no reason for me to stop her I guess.

Not going to lie… I would not say no to tapping her~

Right then, the maitre d\' returned with an extravagantly large platter that was filled to the brim with all kinds of sweets.

I realised Lisa had actually undersold it when she described it to me.

There were cookies, cakes, ice cream, frozen fruits, yogurt, sorbet, cream, chocolate, marshmallows and various other sweets scattered all around the platter that was enough to make my eyes bulge out in wonder.

"Apologies for the wait. Here is your mega, ultra, lovey dovey, max power couple, special deluxe dessert platter. Please enjoy it."

Oh…

Oooh…

OHHHH!!

Lisa!!! Marry meeeeee!!
