Chapter 198: Secrets, I know many
He wondered what the secret that Yanchen\'s sister promised to tell him when he saved them all was. But now, he had to save the last three.
Mark hurled a fist-sized rock at the ground and teleported next to it, right in the middle of two savages. Just as the demon kicked at them, Mark smirked, face hidden behind the mask. He raised his arms and blocked the kick, air exploding.
"Cool kick, but my body is just stronger!"
Tear!!
Blood exploded into the area as Mark clenched his fist around the leg and tore them off.
Touching both Silver Savages, he vanished.
Aura Teleportation!
They appeared in the air and just like before, Mark rotated mid-air and hurled the savages in his hands into the distance beyond the mist. He once again fell.
One more remaining…
He entered the mists, continued falling. Cool air kissed his cheeks—demonic screams filled his ears. Oh, they\'re mad at me for taking away their prey.
In a split second, he arrived beside the fallen savage, who was practically a corpse. But the mask was unbroken, he could be healed. Touching its back, Mark readied himself to throw the rock into the skies but suddenly, his face changed.
Mist.
Mist surrounded him, it bound him. His legs, his hands, his neck.
When? No, I am in the demon\'s territory. In its mist, and now, it wants me dead.
He tried to break the mist with his superior physical prowess but just as he did, a bout of dizziness assaulted his senses. The demons surrounding him grew blurry.
Glass Dome!
The ability flickered, barely turning on. In his spasming bout, Mark noticed that not only was his head spinning, but the demons surrounding him were also falling unconscious.
Poison?
A powerful dome of glass surrounded him, but all of a sudden, the mist surrounding him was no longer white but green. Poisonous green. And even though the attack was pushed outside as the Glass Dome appeared, he was already poisoned.
Mark could see Yanchen\'s pale skin turning green.
"Oh, Golden Savage," a voice said, and a palm slammed into the Glass Dome from the dark mist. "Today, you are not leaving this place alive. Remove that Glass Dome and try to teleport if you dare, I will kill you before you escape."
Faintly, Mark noticed the face of the man outside the Glass Dome. It was a face created by thick mist, but it looked like a Golden Savage.
The golden savage Yanchen met on the way here, he was no Savage, but a demon in disguise. And heck, there are other sentient Middle Demons in this world?
"What?" the demon cackled. "Are you not escaping?"
"What happened to the other Golden Savages?" Mark asked. "The ones who vanished. Did you kill them, too?"
"Oh, you don\'t know?" The demon licked the Dome with a misty tongue. "They vanished out of nowhere, I don\'t know what happened to them either."
He is waiting for the poison to kick in and kill Yanchen. Then, he will come and destroy the mask. Trying to distract me from turning the mask off?
"What are your plans in this world?" Mark asked.
The demon plastered his face against the Dome. "My plans? Why do you ask, when you are dying?"
Mark coughed blood. "Do you think this mere poison can kill me?"
"Oh, bravado. I like that. Hmm, my plans, huh?" It tried to sink its misty teeth into the Dome but even for it, the dome was just too strong a defense. "I have plans, yes, I just want to conquer this world. Turn it over to the Demon Will. Ah~"
I can\'t stay here any longer if I want to help the boy survive.
The Glass Dome vanished and amidst crackling laughter, the mist poured in towards Mark. Mark didn\'t teleport and instead slammed a fist at the demon\'s misty face, yet, it just passed through and he reached the other side of the demon.
The demon crackled and more mist came towards him, along with the demon itself.
Suddenly, Mark vanished, reappearing where he had been standing while using the Glass Dome. He threw the rock into the skies at full power and the mist demon screamed, flying towards the rock instead of at him.
Mark took another rock and just as he did, he froze. More clones of the mist demon, poisonous and green, now surrounded him.
"You have no escape!"
Aura Teleportation!
Suddenly, Mark vanished and the mist demon looked around for him in the mist with his clones while the one who had followed the rock searched for him near the skies. Then, all of them frowned, Mark was missing.
Meanwhile, outside the mists, where Yuuna and the rest of the savages were, Mark suddenly blinked into space. He was green-faced and tired, but a grin grew as he looked back at the wall of mist behind him.

Yes, when he had thrown savages towards Yuuna, he had poured some aura into them. When he threw rocks into the sky, that aura would deactivate as only one object could be marked by the aura at a time, but the earlier rock was just a distraction.
"Healer among you Silvers, heal me!" he barked.
…
Mark, in Yanchan\'s body, and his gang of savages traveled away from the mist for half an hour. After walking so far with their speed, they couldn\'t even see it and finally, the Silvers all slumped on the ground, wheezing.
"I thought I was gonna die," one of them said, laughing like an idiot as he kissed the dirty grass. "I am alive, I can breathe in the smell of grass, feel my heart pounding. How wonderful!"
All of the savages shared the sentiment.
"It\'s all because of this unknown Gold Lord!" shouted a savage with greying temples. "Every one of you, kowtow and show your gratitude!"
Everyone acted in unison and all bowed, even Yuuna, who knew she was not looking at her brother but a demon in disguise, did the same thing. Mark looked at them impassively, no emotion in his eyes.
He saved them because that just happened to be beneficial.
"Yuuna, come with me," he said.
Everyone grew silent, and the red-haired savage amidst them nodded and followed him. In a more shadowy part of the woods, Mark looked at her calmly.
"I saved all of you, not a single one left for the dead. Now, tell me what the greatest secret of savages you said you knew." Mark smiled, adding a demonic coldness to the otherwise warm and boyish face. "You better not try to do me a good one or you\'ll regret it."
Inside him, Yanchan was trying to regain control over his body but for some reason, he just couldn\'t do it like earlier. Even Mark himself didn\'t know how it worked.
Yuuna nodded. "If you promise to let go of my brother once I tell you, I will tell you everything."
Mark rubbed his jaw, as if contemplating whether the deal was worth it, then nodded.
"I promise you."
Yuuna looked around, touched her mask, and sighed. "I know many secrets about the savages, ranging from world-shaking secrets to secrets that could ruin the unity of the race. And honestly…" She looked at Yanchan\'s face with a complex gaze.
"Continue," Mark said.
"I hate Golden Savages. I used to hate all of them from the bottom of my guts, in my life, I didn\'t want anything more than to destroy them. So, I was always searching for their secrets."
"Oh? Why?"
"That\'s personal and you have no benefit by learning it, so demon, no, so benefactor, please let go of that detail." She looked down at the ground, clenching her fist. "Yet, my own little brother has become the very thing I swore to destroy… even though I wanted to keep him away from all this chaos, hatred, and revenge."
And he even got involved with demons.
Yanchan stopped struggling inside Mark and just listened silently.
"I will tell you these secrets, but please do not use it against the Silvers. They are innocent, they are—" She sighed.
Mark nodded. What a naive little fool. If the Golds died, the demons would all eat the Silvers anyway. Shortsighted and idiotic. Conceited, even.
"Do not drag for time and just say it."
"For one, demon, do you know that there is a Lord of all Savages who is stronger than all Golden Savages?"
Mark suddenly grew very serious. She knew about the Lord, and she was giving out that information as the first thing. So, did she have even bigger information to give?
"Hm, the Savage Lord. I\'ve heard of him," he said casually.
And I\'ve killed him.
