Chapter 215: - The Aftermath of a Reckless War
Sometimes, the spear would catch on his arm, but he would quickly leap back, then charge again, spinning with the spear before delivering a powerful blow to his opponent. Suddenly, one of his Conditional Passive Skills activated, giving him a surge of strength and precision. [Spiral Pierce (Conditional Passive Skill) Lv. 1]
[Spins the spear rapidly before striking, causing massive damage and staggering the enemy.]
[250% physical damage and causes a mini stun (0.5 seconds).
Cooldown: 18 Seconds]
Having recently unlocked five new skills from his Super Novice Class, he had only skimmed through the descriptions. Three were for a spear, one for a sword, and one for a bow. The first spear skill triggered automatically when he spun before attacking, increasing the damage and causing a mini stun. However, its cooldown was quite lengthy for a 250% damage increase. But since it was only level one, he couldn\'t complain.
Broken also tried to parry with his spear when a scorpion\'s claw attacked him, activating another new skill.
[Spear Guard (Conditional Passive Skill) Lv. 1]
[Adopts a defensive stance with the spear, deflecting an incoming attack and swiftly countering.]
[Reduces the damage of the incoming attack by 50% and instantly counters with 200% physical damage.
Cooldown: 15 Seconds]
Spear Guard was a skill that would deflect incoming attacks while parrying, reducing the damage taken and returning it by 200%-an incredibly powerful skill.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Both spear skills were conditional passive skills, activated during battle by performing specific actions like spin hits and parries. While the cooldowns were long, he needed to use them at the right moments to maximize their effectiveness.
The last new skill was an active one, Groundbreaker.
[Groundbreaker (Active Skill) Lv. 1]
[Slams the spear into the ground, causing a powerful shockwave that deals high damage to enemies in a line.
Effect: 300% physical damage in a line.
Mana Cost: 450
Cooldown: 30 Seconds]
Broken struck the ground with his spear, sending damage in a small area forward, hitting multiple enemies in its path.
[Sniper\'s Focus (Active Skill)]
[Takes aim with unerring accuracy to hit the enemy\'s weak point, dealing massive damage and temporarily reducing their defenses.]
[Deals 1500% physical damage to a single target and reduces their defense by 30% for 10 seconds.
Mana Cost: 700
Cooldown: 45 Seconds
Charge Time: 2 Seconds]
[Blade Dance (Active Skill)]
[Executes a series of swift sword strikes, attacking multiple enemies in quick succession.]
[Deals 180% physical damage to up to 3 enemies.
Mana Cost: 300
Cooldown: 20 Seconds]
Two other skills were for the bow-a single target damage skill with a 2-second charge time —and another offensive skill that used a sword. However, he wouldn\'t be able to practice those just yet. For now, he continued to wield the spear, which dealt greater damage.
Gaia was at level 185 with over 2000 total stat points, making her comparable to players in the early 2008. Remarkably, each of her summons possessed the same total stat points as she did, effectively creating a formidable team of near-level 200 creatures.
As a result, Broken found himself battling alongside an awe-inspiring force: twelve plant- type creatures, the mighty Dendros summoned from his Knuckles, and the ferocious Water Boar, all of which were wreaking havoc on the battlefield.
In the midst of this chaos, it felt as though Broken had rallied an entire guild to fight against the monstrous tide. However, despite the overwhelming numbers, it became increasingly apparent that the enemy ranks were thinning. With each passing moment, Broken and his team managed to gain more control over the battlefield, gradually tipping the scales in their favor. They began to sense the possibility of a hard-earned victory.
This remarkable turnaround was all due to the efforts of one player who had summoned their Contracted Spirit, a creature of Unique-grade power. It made Broken wonder: what if Gaia had retained her original grade? Her earlier boast of being capable of destroying the world suddenly seemed less of an exaggeration. Such was her immense power that the mere thought of her potential was both awe-inspiring and terrifying.
In the midst of the battle, every member of the Ass Guild couldn\'t help but notice what Broken was doing. Skywarden, having run out of monsters near him, glanced over at Broken, who was confronting dozens of monsters simultaneously without his health dropping at all. "Damn, what kind of skill does he have?!" Skywarden muttered irritably.
Broken was now outside the range of Skywarden\'s buffs and was truly fighting on his own, not to mention all the summons he had brought forth.
Feeling increasingly frustrated, Skywarden charged at the nearest group of monsters. He wasn\'t about to let Broken finish this battle all by himself.
Meanwhile, Elincia finally ran out of Mana, Stamina, and all her other resources. She started to descend to the ground, her body growing weak. One of Polly\'s clones rushed to assist her, but it was obvious she was still enthusiastic.
"Woah... hahahah," she said, her face beaming with satisfaction. "This truly is a night and battle I\'ll never forget," she added, laughing freely. "Broken... you\'ve once again given us an incredible surprise!" she shouted.
Starfall, too, jumped down from Polly\'s back, clearly exhausted. They could no longer drink Mana Potions or Health Potions, having reached their limit, and were entirely drained. Livelywood, on the other hand, was still fighting energetically in the distance, trying to finish off the remaining monsters.
Charmelyn emerged from the shadows, collapsing into a seated position on the ground, her body covered in wounds. Starfall sat down beside her.
"Hei, sorry... I can\'t heal you..." Starfall said softly.
Charmelyn shook her head. "The battle is over. He saved us."
"I can\'t disagree with that," Elincia added.
Though the battle wouldn\'t have ended without everyone\'s cooperation, it was clear that their victory was triggered by Broken summoning his spirit, Queen Gaia.
"He could take on an entire guild just with those summons," Starfall said, giggling.
"Is that why he hasn\'t joined a guild?" Elincia responded with a laugh. "Because he prefers playing with his summons."
As time passed, the monsters began to fall and break apart into pixels, leaving their loot scattered on the ground. It was clear that everyone\'s inventories were full, causing most
items to remain on the battlefield.
Skywarden, visibly exhausted, removed his armor and weapon to lighten his load. Livelywood, with his armor slashed across the chest and arms, showed clear signs of injury, but it was obvious he enjoyed the battle.
As Broken\'s summoned creatures vanished one by one, he stood alone in the moonlight. His spear glowed with an ethereal blue light, casting a striking silhouette against the darkest
night, with the shadowy forest stretching out in the distance.
"Finally, the battle is over..." Elincia said with a sigh of relief.
"I want to log out and take a hot bath," Starfall responded, giggling. Meanwhile, Broken was excitedly counting the three monster soul stones and dozens of monster cores he had collected from the night\'s battle. He had enough resources to feed both Polly and Gaia. He smiled, satisfied. He, too, was ready to log out of the game.
