Chapter 448 - Black God Ensnared

Chapter 448: Black God Ensnared

It was as Netherclaw thought—Qin Ruo was gliding in the skies above the area where the number of Demon Faction’s players were most concentrated on the Mythical Battlefield. Well, not entirely as how he imagined though—the skill that was activated on Qin Ruo’s back was his Aqua Wings. In other words, he was not attracting much attention from the enemies while gliding high in the sky, and in the event that he had chosen to land they would not be fleeing in splitting directions.

Yet, there was a huge decline in the numbers of the elites, with high Honor Points under their belts, on the Mythical Battlefield—a direct result of the fall of Moonrise City. This huge setback was probably a scheme by the five leagues of the Demon Faction to stall the Angel Faction from reforming its leagues...

This was, however, not much an issue for Qin Ruo. With Aqua Wings, he could glide fast and stealthily in the enemy lines; this helped in saving him a lot of time in picking out the elites from the varied parties amongst the Demon Faction.

After delivering a few strikes, his own Honor Points had soared above 300 points... His party’s rose even quicker—as there was also Fateless penetrating the Mythical Battlefield alone, while a team of five, Black Rock, Judge, Apocalypse, Snowleaf, and Subjugator, confronting the enemies on the frontlines. Therefore, earning Honor Points were merely a matter of speed and mobility.

Fallen Angels’s Honor Points were now closing in to catch up the top three—Black Jail, Scarlet Dynasty, Netherspirit’s Claw; thus, this should allow them to be the fourth party to complete more than half of all the clan missions.

Qin Ruo also noticed that the top three parties’ Honor Points had started to climb up significantly. They were supposed to be the first three to hold the leading scores an hour ago; yet, this Fallen Angels was now already catching up and trailing behind. Probably it was this very fact gave the top three tremendous pressures and got them fired up too—leading them to stop pulling punches!

Wearing an indifferent beam on his face, Qin Ruo resumed in his search for the next prey...

Fallen Angels had only a total of ten members while the top three parties had 200 members and yet, Fallen Angels was able to catch up to them—a feat that they should feel proud of.

Qin Ruo had found his next prey—a party of Demon Faction players who had equipment of great quality. He proceeded to circle above their heads, waiting for the right moment to strike; and it was then he heard a surprisingly familiar voice:

“Little Qin.”

With a delightful eagerness, Qin Ruo immediately stopped his attack and swiftly glided away.

“Majestic Hero!”

The Demon Faction players earlier had no idea they were so close to the brink of death...

“Welcome back. I thought you would miss the reformation of Hall of Heroes...” Overjoyed by Majestic Hero’s return, Qin Ruo continued on, “Majestic Hero, that defeat was nothing but a small setback. It’s just a game after all. Together, we will reclaim what was lost eventually!”

“Ha, you’re right. I’m fine now; it was quite hasty of me to have gone offline like that, but I’m fine now...And I want to let you in on something. We, The Hall of Heroes, have a specialized internal forum. After logging off later, I’ll be discussing with my brethren in Hall of Heroes in regards to a plan... a plan about forming Angel Faction’s Five Leagues.”

“Hmm?”

Qin Ruo couldn’t help but recall Violet Orchid’s idea, the idea to form leagues too, after hearing what Majestic Hero said. ‘Could it be that they both have the same idea?’

And Majestic Hero’s reply confirmed his doubt.

“Originally, I was hoping to convince you and Black God to each form your own league the moment I log on... yet surprisingly, you had already been in the process of doing it. This certainly saved me a lot of trouble. Keep on the good work. Black God and you both have great capabilities and reputation; so, forming leagues shouldn’t be much of a problem for you two. Then, there are also Netherspirit’s Claw, Scarlet Dynasty, and also my Hall of Heroes... before Moonrise City disengage its lock-down state, we must ensure the formation of these Five Leagues!”

During Moonrise City’s lock-down stage, the glory of Angel Faction players were all gone while the Demon Faction players could only utilize normal Honor Missions to slowly recover their Honor Points. Thus within two months, it was, in theory, impossible to form a sixth or seventh league. However, if Angel Faction was able to acquire five leagues within this two-month period it would then have enough strength to face Demon Faction head on. And this would mean they would be able to prevent tragedy, like today, to occur again in the future!

After hearing Majestic Hero’s proposal, Qin Ruo was overjoyed. He then asked further,

“Did Black God agree?”

“Like you, he also realized that even though every member is an elite, a party-size clan would be powerless when confronting many situations. Therefore, he decided to expand the soonest their Honor Points reach above 1000.”

“That should work too...”

Qin Ruo nodded slowly in agreement. Although this would defer from Violet Orchid’s plan in recruiting Black Jail clan, it would be more beneficial in strengthening and concentrating the might of Angel Faction via forming leagues if Black God could form his own clan.

Then, Majestic Hero also spoke in caution, “Forming leagues is a long-term plan; therefore, there is no hurry—we should execute this with patience and vigilance. However, there is another task we must not delay...”

“Buried City?”

Qin Ruo immediately realized what he was referencing to.

“Exactly.”

Majestic Hero nodded. “Demon Faction had succeeded in stalling us to explore the Buried City. Yet, we shouldn’t let things go their way by further igniting the flares of internal struggles.”

Qin Ruo silently nodded his head.

“After forming your clan, start recruiting immediately and leave the task of earning Honor Points to clan members. Remember there is no hurry—we have got two months to form the leagues. During this time, if every single member completes several Honor Missions, reaching 200,000 Honor Points ought not to be a difficult task... as for the ones with Tier 5 Class, they should make haste and concentrate on the Buried City—to clear the pathways that connect to the Buried City!”

It was at this point that the tone in Majestic Hero’s voice changed. “I’ve contacted Black God and several brethren. We’ll be entering Buried City before nightfall. We’re going to find the other nine pathways and also help them to clear that Golden Key Mission.”

“What?”

Qin Ruo frowned anxiously. “Will it work though? We have no intel on whatever that’s above the Buried City at all. Wouldn’t this be too risky?”

As what Qin Ruo knew, finding the location was not really much of an issue. All they needed was to follow several clues, from other players, regarding the location of the Liches and then find the other pathways; while at the same time, they could help them lure the Liches so the Golden Key could be obtained.

These two steps were easy. Yet, the Buried City was immensely huge—no one really knew exactly the size of the place. And if one were to ignore the patrolling time limit of the Eye of Hades’, journeying in the Buried City extensively, by time and distance, could still risk encountering Lich-type Bosses—an important risk that should be considered too.

Besides, there was also that cinematic cutscene that would roll for anyone who entered the Buried City...

“The Buried City is a city filled with undead and specters!”

These goddamn undead would never let them have an easy time finding the other underground pathways.

“You’ll never know till you try, right?”

Majestic Hero however, appeared to have made up his mind. He then said to Qin Ruo,”But if it’s just the two of us I don’t have much certainty that we could make it. So, I’d like to ask you... if you’d like to join us. If there were three of us working together, the chance for success would be higher.”

Qin Ruo was hesitant but did not refuse.

“Alright.”

It was as Majestic Hero said...

Earning Honor Points to establish a league was not something one could do it in a short time. So, he might as well help out with the Buried City—if they could clear a path towards another Eternity Peak, then they could gather ten Golden Keys in only a few days!

Then, he could bring forward his plan of developing the Buried City, finding the Eight High Lords, and also killing the Dark Knight Commander.

And if that were to happen...

The warp portals under the Buried City would then be re-activated; thus, the currently defunct Angel Faction’s warp portal would have a direct link toward the place—in other words, they could continuously send Angel Faction players into the Buried City. Majestic Hero’s plan was rather long-sighted, giving remarkably powerful advantage for the Angel Faction when the time comes for them to bump heads with the Demon Faction in gaining control over the Buried City.

“That’s wonderful!”

Majestic Hero was overjoyed with Qin Ruo agreeing with joining forces. “Then let’s rendezvous before 7 pm. By that time, all three of our parties would be able to rank up to clans. So, I’ll see you then.”

“7 pm? Certainly!”

Qin Ruo had confidence that he could get at least 1000 Honor Points within two hours, and then his party would have completed the quests needed for attaining the clan rank.

Right after their conversation was over, Black God’s voice was heard.

“Little Qin! Are you at the Mythical Battlefield?”

“Erm, of course.”

“What are your coordinates? Could you come over and assist...”

His voice sounded rather anxious.

“Coordinates.”

It took a mere moment for Qin Ruo to realize that Black God must have met strong foes during his quest in earning Honor Points. Thus with a firm determination to help, he requested for his coordinates.

“Just head toward Sin City’s direction and be really careful. Blast it! There were three bastards with wings that ambushed me earlier. It’s so fucking ridiculous!”

Black God’s words caught Qin Ruo’s attention. So, there were three elite Demon Faction players with Demonic Wings? This reminded Qin Ruo the time when he defeated Tiger Cub and several Tier 5 players from Twelve Zodiacs—he also saw three humanoid silhouettes flew out of Sin City from afar.

Could they be the same group?

“Hang on! I’m near Sin City. Will be there in two minutes!”

Yet again, he paid no heed to another group of Demon Faction elite players as his prey just below him and glided toward Sin City at full speed.

The ones after Black God were three Demon Faction players with Demonic Wings on their backs. They were not hard to find while airborne.

However, Qin Ruo was baffled by the current situation—why would they, the ones who stopped him from finishing off the Twelve Zodiac players, still stay in Sin City...

Weren’t they supposed to be exploring the Buried City?

Or was it something Black God did that angered them? Maybe he was fiercely attacking the Twelve Zodiacs players, like how he did back then?

And of course he could not ask Black God all these as he was busy evading attacks at the moment...

All that Qin Ruo could do now was to just keep on gliding with full speed while also praying that Black God could hang on until he arrived. Come on, he could escape from the three supreme champions before. All he needed to do was buy him two minutes. Just two minutes. He could do that, right?

Whooom whooom!

A minute passed...

He could now see the dark clouded mighty Sin City seemed to be clawing out of the horizon that he was gliding toward.

While he was speeding over, Qin Ruo detected, at a great distance—a white glare of light suddenly faded into darkness.

“Shit!”

That must be Black God—shot down from the sky. With a heavy heart, Qin Ruo locked on the direction where the white light was and glided toward it—like a human-sized bird cutting through the dark night sky.
