Chapter 345 - The Representative of the Maoshan Sect was Scared to Death

Chapter 345: The Representative of the Maoshan Sect was Scared to Death

The slap rendered Lu Tianyi’s entire face swollen. Lu Tianxiang’s level was nothing extraordinary when compared to the rest of his family, as he was barely able to make it to Celestial Realm.

Even so, Lu Tianyi could not stand up to such power. If Lu Tianxiang had been using his full strength, he could have instantly turned the other man’s brain to mush.

Unlike his son who held no feelings towards the clan in general, Lu Tianxiang’s parents passed early. It was thanks to financial support from the clan that he managed to succeed. Furthermore, most of the fees incurred during his time in college was paid by the clan through a scholarship system they founded.

As such, he held the Lu Clan close to his heart. Ever since his career took off, he sometimes went back to the clan to help them either financially or physically.

More importantly, Lu Xuan’s grandparents were also buried in the clan’s ancestral grave. Through that plan, their graves were to be moved as well.

If Lu Tianyi succeeded in starting on his plan, Lu Tianxiang’s parents would be in trouble as well. The thought of his parents’ remains being nearly desecrated made him burst with fury on the spot.

Lu Tianxiang went up to the old Taoist and stepped on that man’s head, thinking about what could have happened.

Boom!

That old Taoist’s head crashed into the ground right there and then. He was rendered utterly helpless and incapable of retaliating.

Worse still, that old Taoist sensed that Lu Tianxiang’s terrifying aura was of equal power compared to his. He found to his surprise that other than Lu Xuan, who possessed immeasurable power, there was actually another Celestial Realm fighter present.

What the hell is wrong with this world? How could there be two such top-notch guys just popping out of nowhere?

He was unable to even resist as if he was pinned down by a terrifying power, preventing him from moving at all.

He had no other choice when facing off such terrifying beings. The only hope he had now was for the people of the overseas rite of the Maoshan Sect to rescue him after they realized what happened.

With everyone talking about what just happened, the news spread like wildfire. Soon enough, everyone who was present at the scene would’ve known what was about to happen to the plan to move the Lu Clan’s ancestral grave.

Everyone cursed at Lu Tianyi, Lu Zhengqing and that old Taoist.

Lu Tianxiang and Lu Xuan, who both demonstrated impressive combat prowess, quickly became the center of attention of everyone in the village.

It was especially so in the case of Lu Xuan, who had previously been keeping a very low profile. Common folks knew of neither his presence nor the fact that he was that legendary Palace Lord of the Heavenly Palace.

While the Palace Lord of the Heavenly Palace was renowned all over the world, there was actually only a handful who knew the Palace Lord’s true identity.

It was especially so with the common citizens at the very bottom of the social hierarchy, as they hardly knew anything at all.

The eyes of both Chu Yan’er and Lu Jiaxuan were filled with mixed emotions when they turned to look at Lu Xuan again.

It was especially so in Chu Yan’er’s case. She was arranged to go on a blind date with Lu Xuan but had dismissed him right away. She had completely missed the chance of getting better acquainted with someone so renown.

No matter how she looked at it, Lu Xuan fit that image of her ideal partner very well. However, her aloof attitude was why she no longer had a chance to do so.

“What a shame. It would have been nice if we were to be able to talk more with him before.”

Lu Jiaxuan sighed and said, “Although we have no idea who he is, it’s obvious that he’s anything but ordinary. It truly is a shame. And most importantly… God, he’s so handsome that I’d definitely spread my legs for him.”

Upon hearing that, Chu Yan’er rolled her eyes at her overly flirtatious friend.

“Better to rely on oneself than on others. I’m just looking for a husband who could meet my standards, not for the chance to whore myself out to any guy out there,” Chu Yan’er added. She recalled how Lu Xuan was able to teach someone so high and mighty a lesson with minimal effort. That style and might in a man was what she was truly after.

Deep down, she felt rather heated up at that thought.

The village was still very brightly lit and awake even after the sun went down.

Despite what happened during the day, the ancestral worship event still went on. It was an event that needed to run for three consecutive days and nights.

As for Lu Tianyi, Lu Zhengqing and that old Taoist, all three of them were locked up.

Lu Xuan was currently playing with Lu Guoguo somewhere in the ancestral hall.

There was an elder dressed in Taoist robe in front of him, looking rather awkward.

“Sha Tongshen, an elder of the Maoshan Sect, hereby greets you, Mr. Lu,” That elder dressed in Taoist robe said.

“Right.”

Lu Xuan nodded and shot a look at the man before him. That man called Sha Tongshen was of decent power, considering he had made a breakthrough into the Airborne Realm.

While he had not made that breakthrough for long, it nonetheless demonstrated his impressive mastery of the Shangqing Mystical Methods. The world’s limit had only loosened less than half a year ago, so a breakthrough such as that was considered to be quite the feat.

“How do you Maoshan Sect people plan to deal with this?” Lu Xuan asked.

In response, a bitter grin then grew across Sha Tongshen’s face.

He had only finally heard of the reason Lu Xuan looked for them of the Maoshan Sect while he was on his way there.

He was then right in front of Lu Xuan, whose powers overwhelmed everything and everyone in the world. That man did not bat an eye, be it when he gatecrashed the White House or disposed of the Airborne Realm fighters before him.

Lu Xuan was a formidable being who had killed more Airborne Realm beings than can be counted with one’s hands.

Simply put, they had utterly no way of resisting him.

To make matters worse, the overseas rite of the Maoshan Sect was still involved with the matter at hand.

The Maoshan Sect split into two factions when the country was established.

For nearly 100 years after that, the sect gradually grew into two different sects altogether.

The overseas rite of the Maoshan Sect was still technically related to the local rite. The overseas rite did acknowledge that the local rite on the mainland to be one from the true lineage of the original sect. In reality, the local rite of the sect had little to no control over their overseas rite brethren.

As such, they first reacted to Lu Xuan’s words with utter disbelief, unable to stomach the fact that there was someone in the overseas rite of the Maoshan Sect still practicing Tame Head curses. What made it worse was the fact that there was more than one such person.

Lu Zhengqing’s master—that old Taoist—was quite accomplished in the Tame Head arts, as well.

A while ago, Sha Tongshen looked into the situation to find that it was truly as Lu Xuan said.

He wanted nothing more than to simply kill those two that he deemed to be traitors of the Maoshan Sect on the spot.

The Maoshan Sect was renowned and righteous. The sect was of the Shangqing heritage among the three Taoist lineages, thus making them true descendants of the Taoist lineages.

They could not believe that the overseas rite of the Maoshan Sect would’ve actually stooped so low as to practice Tame head curses.

That fact was a huge slap at their faces.

That was practically a way of saying that the Maoshan Sect’s Shangqing Mystical Methods and secret ways of developing the undead were utterly inferior to the Tame Head curses of Southeast Asia.

Sha Tongshen wondered whether or not the Maoshan Sect would be able to even stay around the Huaxia cultivators as a sect if the word were to get out.

What infuriated him even further, however, was that those two from the overseas rite of the Maoshan Sect actually managed to anger a monster like Lu Xuan.

The Maoshan Sect had once gotten on his bad side. In response, Lu Xuan got rid of an undead king of theirs, as well as two other top-notch fighters. The entire sect was then arrested, dragging their faces through the mud.

To make matters even worse, none of them had been trying to take out Lu Xuan for personal reasons.

The current situation had just taken a turn for the worse, as the overseas rite of the sect managed to personally anger Lu Xuan by trying to make the Lu Clan’s ancestral grave into a place for developing the undead.

Sha Tongshen felt himself almost passing out when he first heard of what happened. He became so frightened on his way that Lu Xuan would have gotten angry enough to just kill him on the spot.

He did not doubt Lu Xuan having the power to do so.
