Chapter 394 - Husband And Wife
"Mrs. Lu, how are you feeling?" The wedding planner, Yun Shu walked over to Song Xing Xing and smiled. The two of them were standing behind the door, waiting for someone to signal them to enter the hall.
Yun Shu could not help but look over when she saw that the bride had her head lowered with her hand gripping at the bouquet a little too tight. This was the scene that she has become familiar with.
Hearing the voice, Song Xing Xing looked up with a faint smile. "I\'m fine."
"Don\'t be nervous," Yun Shu spoke. "Everything will be alright."
"Un." Song Xing Xing nodded. "Thank you, Miss Yun."
At this time, Song Chen walked over with hurried steps. A breath of relief escaped her once Song Xing Xing saw that her father had appeared. "Dad."
"Sorry, I\'m late. Your grandfather was telling me a few things earlier." Song Chen gave his daughter a look over and smiled. "Xing Xing, you\'re so beautiful today."
Yun Shu stood at the side as she watched Song Chen help to ease his daughter\'s anxiousness.
A voice appeared from her walkie-talkie and Yun Shu signaled Song Xing Xing and everyone to get ready. "Mrs. Lu, best of luck."
The door was opened.
In the hall, Lu Xun sucked in a deep breath as he watched a little girl, walked into the hall, scattering some flower petals on the ground. Then, a few bridesmaids entered one by one, walking slowly towards the altar.
After waiting for a while, the person he was waiting for finally entered the door with her father at the side.
Lu Xun noticed his father-in-law\'s gaze on him but at this time, he was too immersed in watching his wife in her white dress. The bodice was hugging her at the right place and the skirts flow beautifully. His Song Xing Xing looked like an angel.
His heartbeat accelerated as they both came closer. When Long Fei nudged him on his shoulder, Lu Xun finally stepped down to receive his wife.
"Song Xing Xing is my only daughter. I have looked after her for more than twenty years. Spoiling her and protecting her," Song Chen said. "Promise me that you will take good care of her and will do the same."
"Dad, I promise." Lu Xun spoke without any second of hesitation. "I won\'t make Xing Xing unhappy."
Song Chen heaved a sigh. He actually wanted to give Lu Xun a long speech but his father had warned him earlier not to make a scene. After speaking a few words, Song Chen kissed his daughter on the cheek before he placed her hand into Lu Xun.
The groom and bride walked together at the altar.
Once everyone sat down, the minister began to speak to the audience.
Song Xing Xing continued to stare into Lu Xun\'s eyes as the minister continued to speak. Seeing the look in his eyes gave her assurance and she was no longer as tense.
This was the man that she chose to marry. Song Xing Xing was confident that she had chosen the right man. They will look after each other, love and be happy together until they grow old.
The minister stopped talking, making Song Xing Xing a little confused. Seeing that Lu Xun had looked away, Song Xing Xing followed his line of gaze and saw that the door was opened.
The audience began to whisper, wondering what was going on.
A while later, a grey figure suddenly showed up.
The fat cat looked into the hall with a curious gaze. Seeing that there were many people inside, Mr. Fluffball was about to retreat when he heard a familiar voice call his name.
From a distance, he could see his papa. Obediently, Mr. Fluffball walked over to him just like they have practiced from early morning.
Song Xing Xing did not expect that she would see Mr. Fluffball as the ring bearer.
The fat cat was dressed so handsomely in his black and white tuxedo. Something was glistering tied around his neck.
He was so adorable and Song Xing Xing could not help but smile as she watched the cat.
It turned out that Lu Xun was planning to let Mr. Fluffball be their ring bearer. That was why he had insistently wanted Mr. Fluffball to appear at the wedding.
The audience was awed as they watched the adorable cat enter the hall. A lot of them were praising Mr. Fluffball\'s obedience. This cat did not run around everywhere and make trouble but had walked straight to the altar. It was rare to see an obedient cat like Mr. Fluffball.
Mr. Fluffball walked over to the couple and finally was carried by Lu Xun.
"Meow." The cat raised his head to look at his papa. The look on his face was asking for praise.
"Mr. Fluffball, good job." Lu Xun untied the ribbon around the cat\'s neck to take their wedding ring. Then, he passed the cat to Bei Yuan and reminded him to give Mr. Fluffball his favorite wet food.
The audience\'s attention was back on the couple.
The minister started to speak again. He paused again and looked at the couple. "And so, with their exchange of vows and rings, the couple will embark together in the journey of life." He turned to Lu Xun and smiled, "Mr. Lu, please repeat after me."
Lu Xun held the wedding ring steadily as he looked at his bride. "I, Lu Xun, take you, Song Xing Xing, to be my partner in life. I promise to love you, cherish you and keep you safe through whatever life may bring us."
The minister turned to Song Xing Xing and asked her to do the same.
"I, Song Xing Xing, take you, Lu Xun, to be my partner in life. I promise to love you, cherish you and keep you safe through whatever life may bring us."
The minister nodded with satisfaction. "Mr. Lu, place the ring on the bride\'s finger and say, "With this ring, I thee wed."
Lu Xun repeated the minister\'s words and slid the ring to his bride\'s finger. Then, it was time for Song Xing Xing to do the same.
"Through the power vested in me," the officials spoke. I do hereby pronounce you husband and wife." A bright smile curled on his lips as he watched the couple. "You may kiss the bride."
A roguish smile curled on Lu Xun\'s lips. With a gentle tug on Song Xing Xing\'s hand, he brought them closer and leaned over to kiss her in front of the audience.
The officials turned to look at the audience again. "Friends and family, I present to you, Mr. And Mrs. Lu.. Husband and wife."
